About Kwame Alexander

Kwame Alexander is a poet, an educator, and the New York Times bestselling author of more than thirty-five books, including his Newbery Medal–winning middle grade novel The Crossover. This graphic novel adaptation is a huge win in my opinion. In the original version, the creativity with spacing the verse on the page was effective in using white space and font size to add drama to the narrative.
