Synopsis

Emily Windsnap is thrilled to arrive at her new home - a secret island near the Bermuda Triangle where humans and merfolk live together, and where being a girl who grows a tail as soon as she enters the water isn't a problem. But, being Emily, she can't resist exploring forbidden places, and, as a result, she inadvertently wakes the kraken - the legendary sea monster that has been asleep for two hundred years!

Emily tries to undo the damage as the kraken's terrifying tentacles rise from the deep!

Mermaid magic, wonderful descriptions of undersea life and a fabulous adventure focused on the power of friendship make this a real page-turner, with all the charm and warmth of Liz Kessler's first book, The Tail of Emily Windsnap.

This is a cute series for young girls but I think I am a little too old for it. I like most mid grade books but this series is at the younger end. That being said I still want to finish the series. I love how Neptune puts on an air that he doesn't care but always does the right thing. I'm glad that......more

QUARTER FOUR CHOICE BOOK FOUR The first book was SO GOOD... so what happened to this one? In the first like seventy pages, the story moved really slowly and almost nothing happens. The story line was really predictable, and the author didn't even try to put a cool twist anywhere in it. I mean, I gues......more

The perfect sequel to an amazing kids' adventure about family, mermaids, and, of course, facing your fears. I think Kessler did an excellent job with developing the characters, and the alternating perspectives of Emily and *oops, can't spoil it* were so good as they both had different perspectives in......more
