American author, Nicholas Sparks has written and published a new novel entitled, “See Me”. It promises the reader another great love story featuring the brooding guy character as the lead, the parents who disapprove of their sons actions, and a need to be successful in the second chance given. “See Me” is not only a love story, but a suspenseful thriller as well.
The subject of bullying is given a bit of a different spin, with lead character Colin resorting to violence after being bullied for several years. He also turns to alcohol which is a troubling mix with violence. After a close call with a stint in prison, Colin knows he must stay out of trouble or face going to prison. He gets help in keeping his commitment to a successful second chance when he meets Maria, but it will not be easy.
Sparks takes the reader from happy to sad to frightened when switching from the soft feeling of love to the emotional rush of the thriller. In order to stay alive, Colin and Maria must deal with their own demons……..can second chances be successful?
